Foundations, retaining wall, drainage, Fyfe stone and dressed kerbs at Birchfield near Rothes in 2024.

Groundworks, carefully scrape all clean chippings off driveway and stockpile for reuse, careful removal and disposal of existing garden wall, set out and excavate for step foundations, lay concrete foundation, build block work retaining wall with weep holes for French drain, build Fyfe stone wall tied to face of blockwork, lay composite decking to cap the new wall, lay perforated drain to rear of retaining wall connected to existing rain water drainage system, import clean stone and back fill behind wall, lay teram over stone then fill remainder with top soil landscaped to marry in with existing grass level, make good stone paved driveway then relay and grade clean chippings previously set aside.    

In 2023 we landscaped this garden and constructed a large deck in Birchfield near Rothes, turning a steep bank into a fantastic recreational area.
